We live in a home with multiple floors and our son’s nursery is on the second floor. The thermostat is on the main floor which meant our son’s room kept getting too hot. This allowed us to run the furnace based on the temperature in his room as our priority is keeping him comfortable. It was easy to install and connect to our Ring and has worked flawlessly.

Il sensore di temperatura Nest non funziona in Italia, di questa informazione non c’è traccia nella scheda tecnica del prodotto scritta dal venditore (Americano). Dopo aver tentato l’abbinamento ad un termostato Nest “Learning Terza Generazione”, il termostato riporta un messaggio relativo alla necessità di aggiornamento del software, ma non è possibile fare nessun aggiornamento perché il software italiano non prevede l’associazione del sensore. Ho contatto l’help desk Google Nest, il cui operatore mi ha confermato che questo prodotto non è distribuito direttamente in Italia da Google proprio perché non è compatibile con il software italiano. Il venditore ha perso una buona occasione per dimostrare la sua onestà!

They were easy to setup with the app and it’s nice to be able to see the temperatures in different rooms and allow the Nest to turn on the A/C based on those temperatures. My Nest is in a hallway with minimal airflow, so it’s consistently a few degrees over/under the normally occupied rooms in the house.
Sadly, within the month I got it, one appears to have disconnected per the app and hasn’t reported temperature to the Nest since it did. It’s not because it’s too far away because I moved it closer to the Nest and it still didn’t reconnect, but I have another that is farther away and has several walls (at least three at an angle) and other obstructions/RF devices between it and the Nest and it works fine – it’s not a distance issue. The other two have continued to function properly so far and I’ve had them since August 2021. Maybe it’s just that the battery died in less than 30 days? The error it gives isn’t very helpful: “Offline for over a day.” It’s been almost 11 months so far. Someday I’ll troubleshoot it more.

This product is not supported in the UK, it will only work in the US. After a lengthy telephone conversation with the Google Nest Customer support and many transfers to the correct engineers it was identified that this product has no software support in this country. Basically it does not work in the UK and cannot be linked to the Nest products.

I purchased this item and failed to install it because I needed a more recent version of the Nest thermostat, despite the fact that my thermostat was telling me I had the most up-to-date version.
After some research I discovered that there are 2 versions of the software: 1 for the United States, Canada, Mexico, and some other countries, where this sensor is available, and 1 for Europe, which is not compatible with is sensor. This sensor shouldn’t be sold in the UK as is cannot be used in with a UK-sold Nest thermostat. Frankly it should be put in the product description.
