The Ring Spotlight Cam Pro (2nd Gen) PoE is a hardwired outdoor security camera powered exclusively via Power over Ethernet+ (IEEE 802.3at), requiring a PoE+ capable switch or injector and a Category 5 or higher Ethernet cable rather than Wi-Fi or battery power. It records Retinal 4K video (3840x2160) with a 140-degree horizontal by 85-degree vertical field of view and 10x Enhanced Zoom, plus color night vision via Ring's Low Light Sight technology. The camera uses radar-powered 3D Motion Detection that allows fine-tuned, customizable motion zones, and includes dual 600-lumen motion-activated LED spotlights and an 85dB siren that can be triggered remotely from the Ring app. It supports Live View and Two-Way Talk with Audio+ noise cancellation for real-time interaction with visitors. Video recording and cloud storage (up to 180 days of event history) require an active Ring Protect subscription; without one, only live view and two-way talk are available.
