The Ring Outdoor Cam Pro PoE is the Power-over-Ethernet variant of Ring's Outdoor Cam Pro line, receiving both data and power through a single Ethernet cable via a PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) switch instead of a plug-in outlet or battery. It records Retinal 4K wide-angle video with up to 10x zoom, a 140° horizontal by 85° vertical field of view, and offers Low-Light Sight for color video at dusk plus Adaptive Night Vision in full darkness. It uses radar-powered 3D Motion Detection for more accurate, customizable alerts and includes two-way audio for live communication. Installation requires a PoE+ capable switch, CAT5e or better cabling (up to 100 meters), and a weatherproofed junction box with a dedicated PoE adapter. The camera is rated IP65 weather-resistant and operates in roughly -5°F to 120°F, and most advanced features (24/7 recording, person/vehicle detection, video search, pre-roll) require a Ring subscription plan.
